Seen from afar, they are ordinary schoolgirls and high school students, more or less seated quietly behind their desks to listen to their teacher. Seen up close, they are budding resistance fighters who, through their courage to go to school, stand up against the oppressor, proving by their mere presence in the classroom their belief in a peaceful future. We are in Ukraine, where continuing to learn (and teach) is a daily act of bravery. Between material hardship, targeted destruction of schools by enemy forces, intimidation by the invader... from the youngest to the oldest, everyone is building the future of their nation. A panoramic, intense documentary, filmed with sober acuity, which mobilizes and moves.
